Regularly inspect the fire hose reel; promptly replace, repair, or replenish any missing components, or address issues such as rust, deformation, damage, faulty connections, or restricted rotation. Inspect the hose and replace it immediately if it shows signs of sticking or deformation that impede water flow, or if cracking, aging, or leakage affects its functionality.
Inspect the nozzle and replace or repair it promptly if there is deformation, breakage, a malfunctioning switch, damaged threads, or surface cracks or holes; a spray test at rated working pressure is also required. Regularly clean the reel and hose to keep surfaces free of accumulated dust and dirt, and lubricate the reel and connection points to ensure smooth operation. If the fire hose reel is not used for an extended period, store it properly away from direct sunlight and high temperatures to prevent the hose from aging or hardening.
