Cleaning: Fire hoses should be cleaned immediately after each use. Hoses used to transport foam require thorough washing to protect the lining; warm water or soap may be used to remove grease.
Drying and Storage: After cleaning, hoses should be air-dried in a cool, shaded area before being rolled up and stored in a dry, well-ventilated location. Hoses must not be rolled up and stored while still wet, as this can lead to mold or damage.
Regular Inspection: Fire hoses should be inspected regularly for integrity. If small holes or tears are found, the area should be tightly wrapped with hose repair cloth and promptly mended (via weaving or patching). Hoses with significant damage must be immediately removed from service.
Proper Storage: Fire hoses should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated, and cool warehouse. The storage temperature range is 0–35°C, with an optimal temperature of approximately 15°C. They must be kept away from heat sources and corrosive substances. Hoses should be rolled in a single layer and stored upright on racks, avoiding heavy pressure and exposure to direct sunlight.
